JDLink ™ Inventory in Anvil

You can load an exported file from your JDLink™ account to Anvil and keep track of the modems as inventory. This feature allows you to see the JDLink name, terminal ID, and on which dealer stock unit the device is installed. Ask your Anvil account manager if you would like this feature enabled. 

How to Upload Your JDLink Information to Anvil 

Once the JDLink Inventory feature is enabled, use the following steps to upload your information and view within Anvil.  

  • Log into your JDLink account and export a CSV file. Your file should be formatted as follows:

  • In your Anvil Salesforce Org, click on the waffle in the top left-hand corner of the screen to switch to Anvil Admin App
  • Choose Admin Links (or search for it if it does not appear).

The page will display a “JDLink Terminals Data Upload” component.  

  • Drag your CSV file to the box or click Upload Files to select your JDLink CSV file.

Where to Find JDLink Information on Dealer Stock Units 

After you have uploaded your CSV file, you can see the JDLink modem information related to each Dealer Stock Unit within the Anvil system. 

For example, if a customer has an issue with the modem on a piece of equipment, you can open the account and find the associated JDLink modem details for that equipment: 

  • Navigate to the customer’s Account Record 
  • Click on Related 
  • Click on JDLink Terminals

Selecting JDLink Terminals allows you to see the JDLink Terminal ID, the dealer stock unit, and related information.

Select the JDLink item you are interested in from the list to view all available data related to that modem.
